Corners of My Home

This was our dining room table setup for book club night.  The tablecloth is a Masai cloth, the plate is alabaster and the photo was taken in Serengeti National Park.  Just a little snippet of Africa as we read Baking Cakes in Kigali this month.

  1. Was the book a hit with your club? I'm hosting my book club next Friday (after report cards are finished!!); we've just read The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie. A fun, quirky British whodunnit.
Enjoy the hockey game tomorrow. I'm considering going downtown first thing in the morning to hopefully get a shot of the cauldron without crowds. And it shouldn't be raining then! :)

Wish I could have been at book club. I really enjoyed this read.

  3. Perfect decor for your book club book. I like the Masai cloth a lot--will you be keeping it as a table cloth or using it to make something else? XO

  5. I was able to get that book at the library and finished reading it earlier this week. It was great! I loved how the cake baking tied everything together. Thanks for the recommendation!
