Corners of My Home
This was our dining room table setup for book club night. The tablecloth is a Masai cloth, the plate is alabaster and the photo was taken in Serengeti National Park. Just a little snippet of Africa as we read Baking Cakes in Kigali this month.
Was the book a hit with your club? I'm hosting my book club next Friday (after report cards are finished!!); we've just read The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie. A fun, quirky British whodunnit.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the hockey game tomorrow. I'm considering going downtown first thing in the morning to hopefully get a shot of the cauldron without crowds. And it shouldn't be raining then! :)
Oh Mom it's so beautiful. I love the plate. What great souveniers from you amazing trip.
ReplyDeleteWish I could have been at book club. I really enjoyed this read.
Perfect decor for your book club book. I like the Masai cloth a lot--will you be keeping it as a table cloth or using it to make something else? XO
ReplyDeletethat photo is just gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI was able to get that book at the library and finished reading it earlier this week. It was great! I loved how the cake baking tied everything together. Thanks for the recommendation!
ReplyDeleteI'll keep my eyes out for it at the library! What did you think?
