For Today . . . July 6, 2009
Outside my window . . . it's been a mostly sunny day but now the clouds have moved in and it's threatening to rain. The forecast is for 2.5 cm which would be great. We desperately need moisture as big sections of central Alberta have been declared crop disaster areas. The little sprinkles we've been getting haven't amounted to enough moisture for any crops to grow. Bob continues to water our garden and it's thriving.
I am thankful . . . a safe and fun few days away quadding in the west country.
And I am also thankful . . . that both of our new grandsons are thriving.
I am praying . . . for a friend who is navigating through relationship issues and for our Compassion sponsored girls, one in Brazil and one in Ethiopia.
I am thinking . . . about this week's menu plan.
From the kitchen . . . Shrimp Tetrazzani, lettuce salad using red tipped lettuce and radishes from our garden, and a Rhubarb Crisp
I am wearing . . . jeans, a favourite sherbet colored striped sweater and flip flops.
I am reading . . . The South Beach Diet Taste of Summer Cookbook by Arthur Agatston, MD

I am hoping . . . to see grandchildren tomorrow :))
I am hearing . . . the refrigerator running.

I am creating . . . and trying to learn more about photo editting using Photoshop Elements in an online class with Jessica Sprague, a digital scrapbooking genius.
Around the house and yard . . . clean laundry from camping and groceries to put away, plants to water, and some windows to wash.
One of my favourite things . . . fresh flowers on my kitchen table - today it's miniature purple irises from my aunt's flowerbed at the cabin.
A few plans for the rest of the week . . . supper with Naomi, Meadow and Blake, my nephew's photography presentation as he finishes a class, evening bike rides and more mending.
Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you . . . the wildflower meadow as we walked up the approach to the Grave Flats lookout station in the Rocky Mountain foothills. The flowers were absolutely gorgeous!!
Just stopping by to say hi to you, Crystal.
ReplyDeleteAs always, love your list. Beautiful photo! I saw some of Pam's on Facebook.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a great time away and I'm sure took lots of great photos.
ReplyDeleteHave fun at Dreberts. I'm sure Meadow will be excited to have you and Dad over. We would! ;)
I'm curious about the recipes in the book you're reading. Any to pass along? I'm always looking for new ones.
