Our niece, Jen, is getting married in May and so yesterday we had a "land and sea" party for them. Will is from Newfoundland and Jill and Esther (another of my niece's and her mom, my uber-party planner sister) dreamed up this theme.
The invitations read: "Prairie girl hooks big fish . . . Fisherman catches pretty red-head"and the party was at a swimming pool. Lots of fun was had by all and of course there were presents to open!
Here's our gift celebrating the Alberta - Newfoundland connection. Inside the rooster wrapped box are cereal bowls, an item from Jen's wish list. (If you click on the picture to enlarge it, you'll be able to read the explanation.)
It's always fun to gather as a family and especially for such a happy occasion.
I like your gift - love what you wrote! :)

ReplyDeleteThemed pre-wedding parties are fantabuloso. I am going to see what I can do about getting them to catch on here down under. It is time tupperware let go of the monopoly!
