Counting Gratitude Gifts

Today Ann posted that she'd heard from a lady who counted ten thousand gifts and from someone else who'd counted one thousand in just eight days!  And she shared that her book, One Thousand Gifts, is at #6 on the New York Times bestsellers list - how amazing!  I am so thankful for finding her blog, reading her book, being part of this amazing community and, most importantly, for realizing how very much God blesses me with goodness.

The month is ending but my list keeps growing as I notice more of what He gives me, moment by moment.  Ann shared a quote from G. K. Chesterton that rings with me.
I would maintain that thanks are the highest form of thought,
and that gratitude is happiness doubled by wonder.
G.K. Chesterton
I like that idea alot!  And so I count on, filled with wonder and happiness that so much is given to me by Him!

  1. Me too I'm so thankful for having found One Thousand Gifts and Ann...And as I can read from your list the gifts like smiles and hugs, your husband cleaning the fish...these are the best and simply joys that often we don't even count...but they do matter! :)
    Have a blessed day!

  2. it is so important to be thankful daily for all the things God sends our way. it's too easy to fall into an "if only" state. if only i had this...if only my life was like that. it only causes heartache and lack of contentment.

i am thankful for coffee right now. :)

    and for a great hubby!
