Good News But - -

The laptop has been rebuilt with a new hard drive, a new keyboard (some of the letter keys were chipping) and a new case (again, some chipping) and it's now back home!  Luckily I had backed up all the data and everything's reinstalled so we are good to go - hopefully for a very long time!

But today when I went to update the blog and post some pictures, I got a message saying that my site has exceeded the free storage space amount.  So off I went to Picasa Web Albums, where Blogger stores blog photos, and discovered that yes, indeed, I have used 1023 gb of the 1024 free gb allowed.  That equals 3773 - yes, three thousand seven hundred seventy-three pictures in the last 4 years!  And they are all saved in my web album which is great.  But due to the lack of space, I've had to purchase, for the grand sum of $5.00,  extra space of 20 Mb and it will take 24 hours to adjust my account.  So - - no pictures until later.

If it isn't one thing, it's something else!  Once again, I appreciate your consideration while I deal with technical difficulties :))

Glad you had everything backed up. You can breath a sigh of relief.

  3. I'm glad your computer is all fixed up. Would it help to resize your photos before uploading to give you more space? You can do it fairly easily in iPhoto. Let me know if you want any help.

A few weeks ago I reached my Flickr upload limit and had to upgrade or delete photos. Sigh...

  4. Oh my word, you have posted that many pictures in four years. Must be all those cute grandkids. ;)
Glad you have the computer back and all your data/pictures were backed up. It's amazing just how much is kept on a computer these days.
We'll be looking forward to photos soon. Miss you.
