Camping Time

We made a little investment in a camper last week so we loaded up and went out to enjoy the outdoors this weekend. Mel and Tyler borrowed camping gear from Heather and Jonathan and tented right beside us. Naomi, Jerry and Meadow as well as Jerry's family came too so there were 16 of us altogether. We had good weather and a great time together!

Here's a little peek at our weekend - I'll show you more tomorrow but right now I need to go and take a shower :))

- did some hiking

- had a chance to spend lots of time with our daughters - and we decided this should be an annual event so hopefully our other 2 kids and their families can join us next year!

- eating outside made everything taste better.

David Thompson Country, right along the Rocky Mountains - perfect place to spend a summer weekend!

Looks like a great time, Crystal! Brian and I are looking forward to our first camping trip with Victor--probably next year.

You look so young with your girls!

  4. Looks like fun! I'd be curious to know how you feel about camping in that style of camper. We have a camping trailer, but have wondered if we'd prefer one on the truck. There's nothing quite like camping, is there?

  7. What fun! I love the photos. It looks wonderful and light years from my past experience of camping, which had something to do with trying to stop large tent from taking off over the mountain in the dead of night in hurricane force winds. Well.... it seemed like hurricane force. I spent the entire night going round and round with the hammer thingy hammering the spikes back into the ground. My family, on the other hand, slept through the lot.
Maybe I need to try this again sometime!
