2. Even though it's still snowy and cold outside, we have potatoes growing in the greenhouse :)
3. I had 3 different birthday cakes this year - how very blessed I am to have so many with whome to celebrate another year of living this wild and precious life!
4. My tomatoes are growing like crazy! The tallest one is 6" and I'm going to have to transplant them again very soon. The sunny area in the big living room is filling up :) Come on, spring!!
5. Instagram and my phone camera are my new best friends! I love having an easy to use device right there for all of life's moments.
My potatoes have not broken through the first soil yet. My tomato seeds have yet to grow. Sigh. I am SO BEHIND!! Do you just keep rolling those potato sacks up and cover the greenery as they grow? How many have you planted???? Wow!

DeleteBob will add more soil as the tops start growing and roll the bag up until it's about 2/3 full. The tubers set right above where the 'mother' potato is set in the ground, not much below it so we find it works to add soil to the top. It's a bit labour intensive here and there - but you're not weeding :) I think he has about 100 planted now (this is the very first bunch) and seems to be on a roll! We sold about 1/3 of them last year and would like to increase that %. My husband is nothing if not inspired when it comes to ideas! I've been trying to embrace it all :)
We got 3" of snow overnight and 3 more are predicted for tonight - so if it weren't for the greenhouse, this wouldn't be happening here either. And the tomatoes - well, they need transplanting again! They have not got any memo about growing slowly because there's still snow on the ground! Have a lovely weekend - maybe down at the garden centre?!!
